St. Thomas bookstall is an initiative started in Vadavathoor Seminary with the intention of increasing the reading habit among seminarians, providing books for study purpose, introducing new books and providing an opportunity to buy books at a low price. Books from different languages and on different subjects are available in the Bookstall. Bookstall offers books from more than 30 popular publishers, both spiritual and secular. Along with seminary students, fathers, sisters, teachers and lay people from various parishes and Sunday schools enjoy the services of this bookstall. A book fest is also conducted every year involving various publishers. A portion of the fest’s profit also goes toward buying books for seminary students. The Book Shop in the seminary is known for making available books of varied languages and subjects. It has a section for Books of general topics and Books on Theology, Liturgy and Canon Law. There is another section for the Books published by OIRSI. Every year the Book Shop conducts a Book Fair giving opportunity to different renowned publishers to display and sell their books.
